Aephanemer

Blending melodic death metal and classical music, the Toulouse-based band AEPHANEMER has forged a unique sound identity within the French metal scene.

Since the release of their first EP "Know Thyself" in 2014, followed by the album "Memento Mori" in 2016, the band has developed a distinctive sound.

Their stage performance, notably at Wacken Open Air, and the quality of their compositions led to a collaboration with Napalm Records, which reissued their album "Prokopton" in 2019.

This partnership marked a turning point for AEPHANEMER, paving the way for wider distribution and numerous dates across Europe. In 2021, the band released "A Dream of Wilderness", produced with Dan Swanö and Mika Jussila, two renowned figures in the metal scene.

The album deepens the fusion between melodic death and symphonic orchestrations, while integrating folk and medieval influences. The positive reception from the specialised press confirmed the solidity of the project and the band's evolution towards a more accomplished sound.

On stage, AEPHANEMER has played numerous major concerts and festivals - Hellfest, Motocultor, Summer Breeze - as well as several tours across France, the United Kingdom, and Europe. On 31 October 2025, AEPHANEMER will release their new album, "Utopie", with Napalm Records.

Presented as a key stage in their journey, this album continues to explore the link between extreme music and symphonic orchestrations.

True to their identity, AEPHANEMER continues to move forward without compromise, establishing themselves as one of the major bands of the new French Metal scene.
