Attention, attention: the circus artists are arriving at Le Théâtre de Jeanne! The fascinating world of the circus blends with a string puppet show! A little boy kicks his ball a bit too hard, and it disappears behind a wall. He doesn't yet know that, by going to retrieve his ball, he will discover a whole unknown universe: the world of the circus. A gallery of characters then presents themselves to him, from the clown to the flea trainer, and even a funny camel! But, very quickly, thefts will be perpetrated within the circus, and it is often the newcomer who is accused first… Perhaps wrongly! In addition to the expertise of puppeteer Philippe Andos, the show is rich in colours and humour, nourished by a message of respect for difference and acceptance of others. Once again, Compagnie Mariska Val-de-Loire presents an enchanting string puppet show, having chosen the circus as its theme this time, and thus, a show within a show.

A few words about the artist…

Philippe Andos, whose expert hands manipulate the characters, is part of Compagnie Mariska Val-de-Loire, to whom we owe enchantments such as “La symphonie des jouets”, “Pierre, l’oiseau et le loup” or “Le chat botté”.

The company is composed of professional puppeteers, actors, and set designers. It was founded in 1986 in Amboise and specialises in the art of string puppet manipulation. It has built a strong brand image in the world of live performance, due to the quality of its numerous shows. The commitment to adapting its shows for young audiences allows children to be transported for nearly an hour into the world of string puppetry and its potential for movement and magic.
