Overview
The multi-award-winning French cello star Astrig Siranossian meets the Orchestre de la Garde républicaine for the first Gaveau production of the season. Bruch's Kol Nidrei, a series of variations on two Hebrew themes, resonates with the legendary concerto by English composer Elgar. Siranossian offers her interpretation on the very cello of John Barbirolli, the legendary British conductor. This concert also marks the opening of the cycle of Beethoven's nine symphonies; an opportunity to discover his first symphony, composed in a still classical style.
