Overview
Launching into the first track of “Funeral Songs Vol. 1”, Theory of a Deadman’s new EP, we’re greeted by a powerful “break down the barricade” followed by a wall of guitars and drums. This return to their roots marks a resurrection of the band’s raw and energetic rock sound.
“It’s a return to our grittier, fun songs from before,” explains Tyler Connolly. After exploring other directions, the Canadian quartet reconnects with the cathartic heavy rock that made them successful.
The EP features tracks like “Barricade”, “Funeral Song”, “Winnebago (Lay Low)” and “Monster Truck”, blending powerful riffs, humour, and catchy choruses. Produced with Chris Baseford in Nashville, “Funeral Songs Vol. 1” is a true declaration of love to fans of authentic rock.
