Grammy-nominated Alfredo Rodriguez and Pedrito Martinez captivate and electrify audiences. A classically trained pianist, Rodriguez was educated at the classical school of the Havana conservatory. His musical language is as much nourished by Bach and Stravinsky as by Afro-Cuban rhythms and jazz. Martinez, on the other hand, is self-taught, having learned music in the Cayo Hueso neighbourhood, in the heart of Old Havana. An extraordinary Cuban duo, essential in today's “Latin jazz” scene.
